Interplanetary World Music 

Formed in 2023, Midbrain Surfers is a Winnipeg, MB based quartet that create improvised music for concert and mixed media. Combining overtone/throat singing plus extended vocal techniques, jaw harps, melodica, slide-didgeridoo, electric oud, fretless bass, electro-acoustic percussion and electronics, their eclectic sound baths blend elements of jazz, neo-classical, world fusion, trip-hop, ambient, avant-garde and experimental music into dynamic, genre-defying, groove-driven spontaneous compositions. 

Live performances may include guest artists such as interpretive dancer Rachel-Anne Kosatsky, saxophonist Leonard “Lewsh” Shaw, guitarist Laurie McKenzie.
